As most of you know neither of us like coffee! Yet Josh at Dilworth Roastery did his best to brew up a blend that we could enjoy, sorry Josh, coffee’s just not for us…haha. We did though meet some wonderful people who want to partner with the church as we continue to grow and reach out to the community more. They import beans from all over the world and gave us a complete tour and some authentic burlap bags and the best hot CHOCOLATE I’ve had in a long time.

Melanie and I recently had the honor of lunch with Sam and Miriam Nadler, leaders of Hope of Israel, a great jewish roots congregation in south Charlotte. We are planning on having Sam in to bless our church with a distinct jewish flavor of the gospel!

Fired Up was at it again during the Christmas season. The guys at 24 were called out just as we finished feeding half the crew. A couple members of the team went back later in the evening and finished feeding the other half and they (Eric Mann and Kris Trine) got to go along for a ride that night!!! Lucky, and no one was injured, PRAISE GOD.

Ben and Sarah Rogers and their wonderful children stopped by one afternoon to spend some time with Melanie and I recently. They work with Children’s Cup and live in Swaziland, Africa. Ben told us by the end of December they will have opened up the 17th Care Point and that they (the Rogers) are planning on planting a church in the capital city in 2008! Life Church has an open invitation to visit and minister, if interested, drop us a line.

Starting January 9, 2008 we will be adding a Wednesday evening service for adults, youth and special classes for the kids that are 5 and under!

For the adults, we will have a time of intimate worship, a deeper look into God’s Word and a time to corporately seek Him for more in our lives.

For the teens (middle school & senior high age), they will have their own space, music and more.

Those that are 5 and under will be looked after and taught age appropriate curriculum.

On Dec. 2nd we started our last series of 2007, MIRACLES. Lets all believe God for more in our lives, whether it’s healing, increase or spiritual understanding, lets finish 2007 strong and rush into 2008 fired up!
